Peer Review Process

Qalamos operates a double-blind peer review system.

Submissions proceed through the following stages:

1.       Initial editorial screening (desk review) to confirm scope fit, completeness, and compliance with author guidelines.

2.       Assignment to a Section Editor (as appropriate) and selection of independent specialist referees.

3.       External peer review (normally at least two referees).

4.       Editorial decision: accept; minor revisions; major revisions; or reject.

5.       Revision and re-evaluation (including further review where needed).

In cases of substantially divergent recommendations, an additional reviewer may be appointed. The Editor-in-Chief retains final responsibility for publication decisions.
